Betty Miley, 64, of Central, died Friday, April 13, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. Miley worked as a fiscal technician in the Academic Success Center and retired in February after 26 years of service.
Katie Faye Rhodes, 64, of Central died Sunday, March 4, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Rhodes worked at Clemson for nearly 15 years, serving as administrative coordinator in the student affairs business office. Prior to that, she held positions in IPTAY and student affairs ITS.
Henry Lawrence Eason, 84, of Newberry, died Sunday, Feb. 26, at Springfield Place in Newberry. Eason worked for Clemson Extension where he served in Chester, Fairfield, Lancaster, Laurens, Newberry and York counties in a career that spanned 30 years. He retired as a County Extension Leader Emeritus in 1985.
Clemson University has learned that Clemson Mayor Larry Abernathy died Saturday, Feb. 11.
Marlee Elizabeth Hart, 24, of Fort Mill, died Sunday, Feb. 5, after a long battle with cancer. Hart was a senior majoring in graphic communications.
Roger T. Dunson, 50, of Seneca, died Friday, Jan. 27, at his home. Dunson, an equipment operator III in university facilities landscape services, had 32 years of service at Clemson.
Kathleen “Katie” Smith, 51, of 1300 Oak Drive, Sandy Springs, died Sunday, Jan. 15, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Smith was an administrative coordinator for the dean of the College of Health, Education and Human Development. She worked at Clemson for almost 23 years. Smith had worked in the College of HEHD since 2006, and worked in Student Affairs prior to that.
Della Williams, 62, died at her home in Seneca Jan. 3. Williams was an administrative assistant in student financial services and retired this past April after 23 years of service.
Retired chemical engineering professor Forrest Christopher Alley, 82, of 1013 Keystone Lane, Clemson, died Monday, Dec. 19, at the CARC Health Care Center.
