Legislature overrides budget vetoes

The South Carolina Legislature Wednesday overrode Gov. Nikki Haley’s vetoes of funding for Clemson PSA and deferred capital maintenance. The veto of $15 million for agricultural research in Clemson PSA was overridden by the House in a 106-3 vote and in the Senate by a 32-6 vote. Electronics recycling required beginning July 1

Faculty, staff and students will be required to recycle all electronic equipment beginning Friday, July 1. A new South Carolina law forbids the disposal of computers, monitors, printers and televisions in landfills. Clemson University Facilities is accepting electronic equipment at the Kite Hill Recycling Center. For instructions, go to
