Press Road, located behind the south stands of Memorial Stadium, and Cemetery Road from Centennial Boulevard by the Woodland Cemetery to Williamson Road have been closed to accommodate nearby construction. Beatrice H. Shaw, 91, of Central died May 1, 2013. She was a custodial worker with University Housing and retired in 1985 with 22 years of service. Memorial services were held May 4 at Goldenview Baptist Church. The Unity Mortuary of Anderson handled the arrangements.
