Just three years ago Clemson student Kevin Dejonckheere was fighting for his life. Now cancer free, he spends a lot of his time raising money to help others fight cancer.

For aluma Rupal Shah, being a student in Clemson’s competitive biological sciences department was key in guiding her to a successful career in research; however, Clemson shaped her in many other ways as well. The close-knit environment helped her understand that even as a student, it is important to give back to your community.

Alumnus’ passion for providing fresh, locally grown produce to members of his community is unyielding.

Eventually, all of Daniel Parson’s knowledge allowed him to go out into the community to teach others how to grow organic food. He is hoping to educate the public on maintaining the Earth’s resources while eating healthier food that many have available locally.
